量表或调查表的设计是调查研究的关键环节,量表的特性对调查质量至关重要。Likert式量表广泛应用于流行病学、慢性病防控、传染病防控、心理健康、生命质量、儿童少年卫生、营养卫生等公共卫生领域及其他社会学领域的调查研究,而不同应答等级对量表的特性即信度、效度会产生较大的影响。本文综述了在量表设计时不同应答等级、中性中间点及选项的形式对量表收集数据特征和特性的影响。

Effect of Different Response Levels on the Characteristics of Liker-type Rating Scale

The design of Scale or questionnaire is a key point to investigations. Good psychometric properties of scale, witch means good reliability and validity, are essential to the quality of investigations. Likert-type scale is widely used in public health research fields, such as researches in epidemiology, prevention and control of chronic diseases, infectious diseases, mental health, quality of life, etc., and other areas of sociological research. Different levels of response options will have a great impact on the psychometric properties of Likert-type scale. In this paper, we discussed the impact of different levels of response options, the neutral mid-point and the effect of response options forms on data features and psychometric properties of Likert-type scale.
