Analysis of Competitive Edges of Traditional Chinese Medicine upon "Sub-health"

The concept of "Sub-health" has given a new definition to the functional role of contemporary medicine in the new perspective of healthiness and quality of life.The pursuit of contemporary medicine nowadays,is not just free from pathological disorders,but also the attainment of an active harmonic state of physical,psychological,and social well-being.According to Traditional Chinese Medicine,the state of healthiness is a dynamic equilibrium of mankind's "yin" and "yang" with his natural surroundings,and the social environment that he lives in.From this holistic perspective,the phenomenon of "Sub-health" is a derangement to this dynamic equilibrium,which results in a state of imbalance among the "yin" and "yang","qi" and "blood",and among the integrated physiological systems of the human body.It is the attempt of this article to analyze the competitive edges of Traditional Chinese Medicine upon "Sub-health",both from its fundamental theoretical basis,and its distinctive diagnostic and treatment methodology.And to discuss the future directions that we should take,in order to strengthen these competitive edges,while furthering the actualization of its potentials at the same time.It is our hope that by achieving such goals,we shall witness the turning of a new page on how Traditional Chinese Medicine,in its most gracious and vivacious manner,contributes to the health care industry of mankind.
