The humeral head fractures are common in patients who suffer from osteoporosis.

Therapy

The indication for surgical or conservative treatment depends on fracture morphology and the patient’s comorbidities. A guideline regarding the therapeutic approach does not exist. Although there are clear indications for surgical therapy, there are also many simple fractures which can be treated conservatively, hence, avoiding the risk of a surgical complication.
