Abstract:Polarization transfer technique INEPT, DEPT and Quaternary Carbon Pulse Sequence (QUAT) were tested in ~(13)CNMR determination of 2,3-dihydroxymethyl-1, 4-bis(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)butane. Four subspectra containing only C, CH, CH_2 or CH_3 were obtained using Spectral Editing with proton-decoupling DFPT and QUAT. The proton coupling INEPT and DEPT were used for measuring the coupling constants~1 J(CH). By comparison with the off-resonance proton-decoupling assignment technique and routine proton coupling method, INEPT and DEPT are more sensitive, selective and time-saving.
