Effects of dexmedetomidine on perioperative stress level and sedation score in patients undergoing cardiac valve replacement

Objective To investigate the effect of dexmedetomidine on perioperative stress level and sedation score in patients undergoing cardiac valve replacement.Methods Retrospective analysis of clinical data of 78 patients undergoing cardiac valve replacement in the first affiliated hospital of Nanyang Medical College from 2019-05 to 2020-04,According to the anesthetic method,the general anesthesia group(control group)and dexmedetomidine combined with general anesthesia group(observation group),39 cases each.Baseline data of 2 groups were compared.serum cortisol(Cor),norepinephrine(NE),and epinephrine(E)levels before and on day 1 after operation.Ramsay sedation score 2 h、6 h、12 h postoperative.Results The serum Cor、NE、E level of the two groups increased on the first day after operation,but the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The Ramsay sedation scores of 2 h、6 h、12 h after operation in the observation group were lower than those of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion dexmedetomidine combined with general anesthesia can regulate the stress level in patients with cardiac valve replacement during perioperative period,and the sedation effect is better.Conclusion Dexmedetomidine can adjust the perioperative stress level of patients with cardiac valve replacement,and has a good sedative effect and high application value.
