| Abstract: | The efficacy of intravenous thrombolytic agents in preserving left ventricular function and in decreasing mortality from an acute myocardial infarction was demonstrated in the 1980s. The 1990s will concentrate on adjunctive therapy to thrombolysis in the treatment of an acute myocardial infarction. |
