| Abstract: | Posterior crossbites and anterior open bites can alter a patient's esthetics and function, and affect the balance of the stomatognathic system. Pediatric dentists and orthodontists play an important role in preventing, intercepting, and correcting these problems. This article describes a clinical case that corrected malocclusion that had resulted in simultaneous posterior crossbite and anterior open bite. The article also defends the importance of early treatment for children with this condition and discusses the diverse clinical aspects involved. |
