神经根型颈椎病因颈椎的退行性变化,刺激、压迫神经根,引发疼痛不适、上肢无力、手指麻木、感觉异常等症状而得名。此病的发病率在颈椎病中最高,约占颈椎病的60%,是中老年的常见病、多发病,重体力劳动者多于非体力劳动者,多为急性发病,也可因轻度扭伤或长时间低头工作诱发。近年来由于工作和生活习惯的改变,神经根型颈椎病已有低龄化趋势。
