| Abstract: | We describe a previously unreported complication of the use of Guglielmi detachable coils and Mechanical detachable spirals in endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms. We document four cases in which migration of part of a coil into the parent artery occurred after completion of the procedure. Possible mechanisms are discussed.
