福州地区军队离退休老年人健康状况调查分析

INVESTIGATION ON THE HEALTH STATUS OF THE RETIRED VETERANS IN FUZHOU AREA ARMY

Objective:To study the health status and its influential factors in the retired veterans of Fuzhou area army so as to make corresponding strategies for them.Methods:Epidemiological investigation on the health status of 1084 cases with the age of 60 or above in Fuzhou area army was carried out. Questionnaire and health checkup were made and SPSS software package was used to make statistical analysis. Results:The general health status of the retired army veterans were fairly good. Appraisals of "Good" and "Medium" accounted for 89.21%. However, chronic illnesses were rather common in the retired veterans, amounted to 99.72% of the total investigated. The 10 preceding morbidity rate of common chronic illnesses were: hypertension, coronary heart disease, hyperlipemia, cataract, chronic bronchitis, chronic gastritis, cerebrovascular diesease, and diabetes. Daily life function, physical performance and health status decreased with age. Living habits, psychological health, nutrition condition, social interaction were closely related with the health status. Conclusion:To popularize the health education, emphasize self-care consciousness and to enhance the precaution of chronic disease may be beneficial to improving the health level of the aged.
