The Effect of Comprehensive Psychological Nursingin the Treatment of Neuropathic Pain

Objective To observe the effect of comprehensive psychological nursing on the pain intensity,anxiety,depression,medication adherence and quality of life for patient with neuropathic pain.Methods 60 patients with neuropathic pain from January 2018 to August 2018 in Hospital(T.C.M)Affiliated to Southwest Medical University were randomly divided into two groups,thirty patients in each.Patients in psychological nursing group received normal nursing and comprehensive psychological nursing.The visual analogue score(VAS),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS)and Morisky,s medication adherence scale were tested and recorded at T0~T3 respectively to evaluate patients’pain intensity and emotional state and medication adherence.At T3 we used the SF-36 scale to evaluate the patients’quality of life.Results All patients were finished the test and followed up visit.There was no statistical difference in SAS,SDS,VAS and adherence score before the treatment between the two groups(P>0.05).In both groups,the scores of VAS,SAS,SDS at T1~T3 were lower than T0, with statistical differences(P<0.05).The scores of VAS, SAS, SDS in psychologicalnursing group at T1~T3 were lower than group routinenursing group, with statistical differences (P<0.05);themedication adherence scores of psychological nursing groupat T1~T3 were higher than group routine nursing group, withstatistical differences (P<0.05);meanwhile, quality of lifescores of psychological nursing group at T3 were higherthan group routine nursing group, with statistical differences(P<0.05). Conclusion Comprehensive psychological nursingcan relieve pain intensity and improve the negative emotionsas well as modify the medication adherence and quality oflife for the patients with neuropathic pain.
