Twenty-one patients with serous endometrial cancer were treated on a protocol of cisplatin, doxorubicin, and etoposide. Seven patients had stage I and two stage II disease, six patients had stage III, and six stage IV disease. All patients underwent surgery prior to receiving chemotherapy. All patients treated in an adjuvant fashion were clinically free of disease with a median follow-up of 28 months. However, only eight of the 12 patients with advanced disease were clinically free of disease with a median disease-free interval of 11 months. Furthermore, four patients have died of disease. Overall, seven of 21 (33%) patients developed neutropenic fever. The disease-free interval in the patients with advanced disease was poor and the protocol was only moderately well tolerated.
