Abstract: | The pre-leukaemic state includes a variety of haematological conditions which in some patients precede the onset of acute leukaemia. These abnormalities may be primary or secondary to a known genetic insult. In some cases the condition may be associated with one of the constitutional syndromes characterised by genetic instability. The appropriate laboratory investigation to determine diagnosis and prognosis are examined. |
