Abstract: | A prerequisite to the automatic analysis of biological data of all kinds requires that a considerable degree of pre-processing be performed to enhance interesting features and remove artefacts. This paper describes an interactive computer based system which allows efficient semi-automatic preprocessing by means of a light pen. The system itself is at present implemented on an IBM 1800 computer, with 16K words of core, but given the necessary peripherals, could be made available on a much smaller machine. |
