Research status and hotspot cluster analysis of gastric tumors based on PubMed database

Abstract To investigate the current status and hotspots in the field of gastric neoplasms in recent years.Methods The literatures related to gastric neoplasms from 2016-2021 were searched in PubMed database, The Bicomb software and gGLUTO software were used for cluster analysis and the status quo and research hotspots of gastric neoplasms were analyzed. Results A total of 18982 articles were included. The annual number of publications from 2016 to 2021 was 4040, 3847, 4021, 4133, 2648 and 293, respectively. Gastric Cancer had the largest number of publications. Among the literature source countries, western countries and Japan had the most publications. A total of 79 high-frequency subject headings were selected, and 10 clusters were obtained after cluster analysis.Conclusion The international research hotspots of gastric neoplasms mainly focus on adenocarcinoma of esophagogastric junction, Helicobacter pylori treatment, targeted drugs, laparoscopy, endoscopic treatment and so on. Western countries and Japan play a critical role in leading the development of research in this filed, and our country has a long way to catch up with them.
