中医药英译的方法探讨

良性前列腺增生症是50岁以上男性人群的常见病，以进行性排尿困难为主要临床表现。笔者提出中西医结合治疗应突出中医特色，运用病症结合、宏观与微观结合的方法，建立动物模型开展实验性研究、建立中药疗效评价系统、改善中药剂型等措施，旨在探讨中西医结合治疗良性前列腺增生症的思路。

Discussion on the Methods for English Translation of Traditional Chinese Medicine

To discuss the principles, methods and laws for English translation of terminologies in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) basic theories. The author suggested that the word-formation laws of medical English should be explored in referring to the historical experience of medical word-formation by way of retrieving Chinese and foreign literature concerning TCM English translation, and applied in the English translation of TCM terms. The program for English translation of TCM should be multiple method, the principle for word chosen should be concise and chastening, thus to gradually make the English translation of TCM terms standardized.
