Abstract: | The occurrence of facial paralysis in a patient with a parotid vascular malformation is reported. Topographic diagnostic tests suggested a lesion in the tympanomastoid portion of the nerve. Subsequent surgical exploration confirmed the benign nature of the parotid mass. Although extremely rare, in view of the possible relationship of the parotid lesion with the facial paralysis, the authors suggest that this case be classified as peripheral facial paralysis associated with a benign parotid vascular anomaly. |
