| Abstract: | Medical, neurologic, and psychiatric complications can interfere with optimal recovery after stroke and increase the cost of care. Ideally, preventing these complications would be the best and most cost-effective treatment. This article reviews the clinical implications and management strategies for venous thromboembolism, spasticity, and depression after stroke. |
