Hormone studies revealed high plasma aldosterone levels, and low plasma renin concentration. Following surgical removal of a malignant sex cord stromal tumour, the hyperaldosteronism regressed, and the hypertension improved. Subsequently the tumour recurred, as did hyperaldosteronism.
