一门传统学科代表着一个国家或一个民族文化经典科学的总结。传统，即现代之过去，可谓相继，是历史悠久的象征，是漫长经历和实践的科学内涵，囊括民间的长期应用、特殊文化背景的荟萃。现代，可称为传统的延续、发展、创新和总结，皆为现时代所用。中国医学是中国优秀文化之一，在现代医学奋起的同时，应当充分发挥其优势，与时俱进，在突飞猛进的竞争市场腾起，与世界医学接轨。我们11年来在瑞典开展中医药医疗、药业、教学等工作，并且加强与国内、外有关专家、学者共同探讨，与国内企业合作研制的现代中药饮片（在瑞典将中药饮片称之Te茶）新剂型。新型中药饮片是在中医理论指导下，在原中药饮片的基础上经过现代纤维科学新技术，创新、更型、冠名而成，是当前中药走向国际市场甚佳的选择。
