Clinical Study on Feiyan Tang and Point Application Combined with WesternMedicine for Children with Mycoplasma Pneumoniae Pneumonia of Phlegm-HeatObstructing the Lung Type

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Feiyan tang and point application based on western medicine on children with mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia(MPP) of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung type.Methods:A total of 102 children with MPP of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung type were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table method,with 51 cases in each group.Both groups were given conventional treatment such as anti-infection,relieving cough and relieving asthma,while the observation group was additionally treated with Feiyan tang and point application.Both groups were treated for two weeks.The duration of cough,fever and lung rales in the two groups were observed and recorded within two weeks.The levels of serum immunoglobulins(IgA and IgM),interleukin-10(IL-10) and natural killer(NK) cell were detected before and after treatment.The incidence of adverse reactions within two weeks of treatment was recorded.The therapeutic effects in the two groups were compared.Results:After treatment,the overall effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05).The duration of cough,fever and lung rales in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P<0.01).The levels of IgA and IgM in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01).The levels of IgA and IgM in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).The levels of IL-10 in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment,and the NK cell levels were increased,differences being significant(P<0.01).The IL-10 level in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the NK cell level was higher,differences being significant(P<0.05,P<0.01).During treatment,there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:On the basis of conventional western medicine treatment,the additional application of Feiyan tang and point application in the treatment of children with MPP of phlegm-heat obstructing the lung type can alleviate clinical symptoms more effectively and improve the immune function,which plays a positive role in improving clinical effect.
