| Abstract: | Arterial compliance is an intrinsic property of vessel walls. A decrease in arterial compliance is an early change in the development and progression of vascular disease. This article presents a definition of arterial compliance, describes factors influencing arterial compliance, and the measurement and clinical significance of the artery compliance. |
