Abstract: | The utilization of the NIOBE? magnetic navigation system (MNS, Stereotaxis, St. Louis, MO, USA) has increased significantly since the first published report in 2002. There has been much enthusiasm for this technology as a means to reduce radiation exposure to the patient and physician alike, and potentially decrease risks associated with catheter manipulation by less experienced operators. However, there are limited data regarding the acute, intermediate, and long‐term results and procedural characteristics from ablation procedures utilizing this system. We present a review of the outcomes and procedural data available to date. (PACE 2012; 35:1021–1034) |
