MMP-7在食管癌组织中的表达及其临床意义

目的探讨MMP7表达与食管癌生物学行为的关系。方法采用免疫组化SABC法检测MMP7在食管鳞癌中的表达。结果在正常食管癌鳞状细胞MMP7呈阴性表达;在食管癌组织中主要表达于癌细胞膜和胞质中;间质细胞中无表达。在食管癌中阳性表达率为42.1%(32/74);MMP7表达与食管癌淋巴结转移、临床分期、静脉侵犯和浸润深度有关(P<0.05);与性别、年龄、病理类型、病理分化无关(P>0.05)。结论MMP7在食管癌进展中有重要作用,可能是一个独立预后指标。常规检测其在食管癌中的表达,有助于食管癌治疗和预后的判断。

Expression of MMP-7 in Esophageal Carcinoma and Its Clinical Singnificance

Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of MMP-7 and the biologic behavior in esophageal carcinoma.Methods Immunohistochemical SABC method was used to the detection of the expression of MMP-7 in esphageal squamous cell carcinoma. Results Negative MMP-7 expression was found in normal esophageal squamous epithelium. MMP-7 was expressed in 42.1% (32/74) of the tumor, mainly in the cytoplasm and the membranes of the tumor cells, not in the interstitial cells. The expression of MMP-7 was associated with lymph node metastasis, clinical stage and infiltration depth, but was not associated with gender, age, pathological classifcation, and histological grade (P>005). Conclusion Our results suggest that MMP-7 expression may play a pivot role in the progression of esophageal carcinoma and serve as an independent factor of prognosis. Routine detection of MMP-7 expression may be useful for the prediction of treatment and prognosis in esophageal carcinoma.
