| Abstract: | Two new monodesmosidic saponins (Phytolaccosides F and D (2)) have been isolated from the roots of PHYTOLACCA AMERICANA and identified as 3- O-alpha- L-rhamnopyranosyl(1-->2)-beta- D-glucopyranosyl (1-->2)-beta- D-xylopyranosyl]phytolaccagenic acid and 3- O-beta- D-glucopyranosyl(1-->2)-beta- D-xylopyranosyl]phytolaccagenic acid, respectively. |
