| Abstract: | A method for coupling the hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) to aldehyde-fixed erythrocytes for use in passive hemagglutination assays for anti-HBs is described. This provides a stable and inexpensive reagent having a sensitivity for anti-HBs detection which is only slightly less than solid phase radioimmunoassay. |
