The Role of Iron Deficiency in Protein‐losing Enteropathy Following the Fontan Procedure |

| Abstract: | We describe the case of an adult who developed protein‐losing enteropathy 21 years after having undergone a Fontan procedure. Investigations revealed iron deficiency anemia which was treated with intravenous iron sucrose leading to resolution of both the anemia as well as symptoms of protein‐losing enteropathy. |
