Abstract:Superoxide dismutase(SOD) is an antiphlogistic enzyme which possesses a strong antiinflamination. The reproduction of analytical results is not very desirable and it is more difficult to compare the results from different methods, although a few methods have been used for determination of SOD. An improved method was described: the working curve was established by standard SOD from bovine, using the same procedure, and SOD activities from samples would be got from working curve. The results indicated that the method is rapid and simple to operate, its accuracy and the reproduction are better, and the results from different assay methods can be also compared by the method. The effects of temperature and pH on determination were disscused as well. At the same time, human SOD activities were determined and isodynamic properties of SOD (from human blood and boyine blood) were observed by the method.
