Effect of early postoperative drinking water on the recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery under general anesthesia for gynecological malignant tumors

Objective To explore the effect of early postoperative drinking on the recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery under general anesthesia for gynecological malignant tumors.Method Random number table,double-blind principle,divide 118 cases of gynecological malignant tumor laparoscopic surgery patients into control group and observation group,59 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were given routine intervention of drinking water after operation,and patients in the observation group were given early intervention of drinking water after operation.The postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery time,vital signs,oral comfort,complications and patient satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Result The postoperative gastrointestinal peristalsis recovery time,bowel sound recovery time,first exhaust time and first defecation time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After operation,the scores of thirst,sore throat and saliva PH of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of oral odor in the observation group was 8.47%,which was lower than 27.12%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was 10.17%,which was lower than 32.20%in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The intervention attitude,operation level,commumcation ability,and comprehensive education scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the dnterences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Early postoperative drinking water can significantly promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function in patients undergoing general anesthesia laparoscopic surgery for gynecological malignant tumors,improve oral comfort,reduce the incidence of complications,and improve patient satisfaction.
