Investigation on Knowledge and Influencing Factors of Infectious Diseases among Kindergarten and Primary School Teacher in a Certain District of Nanning

Abstract:OBJECTIVE To understand the training needs,knowledge awareness and the mastery of the reporting system of infectious diseases among kindergarten and primary school teachers in Nanning,and to find out the existing problems.It provided a basis for improving the training of infectious disease knowledge of kindergarten institutions and primary school teachers in a district of Nanning,and put forward targeted prevention and control strategies.METHODS 107 teachers from 54 kindergartens and primary schools in a district of Nanning were randomly selected to investigate the knowledge of infectious diseases.SPSS22.0 statistical software was used for data processing.RESULTS The factors that affected the qualification rate of infectious disease knowledge of kindergarten and primary school teachers were school nature,position,education level,pre-job training,post-job training and training frequency.The factors that affect the qualified rate of teachers’infectious disease reporting system were position,education level and pre-job training.CONCLUSION Kindergarten and primary school teachers in an urban area of Nanning had a good grasp of the knowledge of infectious diseases,and health workers and those with high education level had a better grasp of the knowledge and reporting system of infectious diseases.Non-health workers,the less educated and the lower income groups should be the focus groups for training on knowledge and reporting systems for infectious diseases.
