The application of emergency response system in the emergency department of a designated hospital during the outbreak of COVID-19

This study introduced the composition and practical experience of the emergency response system applied in the emergency department during the epidemic of COVID-19. The system included the cooperation of the whole hospital, staff arrangement and training, drills of the response system, allocation and management of goods and materials as well as environment management of the emergency department. Zero medical staff infection and effective isolation of the infected and suspected patients were achieved due to the implementation of the emergency response system ensuring the emergency management work carried out orderly during the COVID-19 epidemic, which was of great significance to the prevention and control of the epidemic.
