Morphologic changes of the cranial nerves, spinal cord ganglia and roots in botulism

Abstract:Peripheral nervous system was studied morphologically in 4 patients who had died from botulism. The results indicate considerable alterations in cranial and spinal nerves as well as in spinal cord ganglia. This may explain a neurological symptoms (radiculoneuritis, radiculoganglionitis) in botulism.
