Application of PICC Catheter in Patients With Severe Head Injury and Key Points of Nursing Cooperation

Objective To study the main points of nursing cooperation for patients with severe head injury using PICC catheter.Methods Samples were taken from 50 patients with severe head injury admitted to our hospital between April 2019 and August 2020.All of them were treated with PICC catheters.The“double-blind method”was used to divide into reference group(traditional care,n=25),trial group(comprehensive nursing,n=25),comparison of quality of life,emotional state,complications rate and success rate of catheterization between the two groups.Results There was no statistically significant difference in SF-36 score and emotional state before nursing(P>0.05);after nursing,compared with the reference group,the SF-36 value of the experimental group was higher,the SAS and SDS values were lower,and the complication rate of the experimental group was(8.00%),lower than the reference group(32.00%),and the success rate of catheter placement in the test group(96.00%)was higher than that of the reference group(72.00%),χ²=4.500,5.357,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Comprehensive nursing for PICC catheter patients with severe craniocerebral injury can improve the nursing effect,ensure the smooth progress of the catheterization process,and prevent complications.The effect is ideal.
