Clinical Observation of Huoxue Zhitong Gel Ointment in Treating Patients With Low Back and Leg Pain

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy and nursing experience of Huoxuc Zhitong gel ointment in patients with low back and leg pain.Methods A total of 100 patients with low back and leg pain from January 2020 to February 2021 were randomly selected in our hospital to participate in this experiment.In the experiment,the paticnts were all treated with western medicine,and 50 patients were treated with Huoxuc Zhitong gel ointment.These 50 patients were in the observation group,and the remaining 50 patients were as the control group,observed the patients’clinical efficacy,TCM syndrome scores and pain scores before and after treatment,and compared patients'symptom relief time and lumbar spine mobility.Results There was no significant difference in the TCM syndrome scores and pain scores of patients before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the TCM syndrome scores and pain scores of patients were significantly reduced,and the reduction in the observation group was significantly greater than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Afier treatment,the obscrvation group patients’forward bending range(52.44±2.33),back extension range(19.65±1.33)°,lateral bending range(17.88±1.22)°,and straight leg elevation(83.77±4.12)°,significantly higher than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of clinical treatment was 94.00%,which was significantly higher than 72.00%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the symptom relief time of the observation group was(8.44±1.12)d,which was significantly shorter than that of the control group(13.44±2.44)d,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with low back pain.administering Huoxue Zhitong gel ointment on the basis of western medicine treatment can significantly relieve the patient's clinical symptoms,shorten the pain time,improve lumbar mobility,reduce TCM syndrome scores and pain scores,thereby improving clinical efficacy.
