Effect of bilateral uterine artery embolization combined with curettage in the treatment of scar pregnancy after cesarean section

Objective To analyze the effect of bilateral uterine artery embolization combined with curettage in the treatment of scar pregnancy after cesarean section.Methods A total of 78 patients with scar pregnancy after cesarean section treated in our hospital from April 2019 to April 2021 were included in the study.According to different clinical operation schemes,the patients were divided into routine group(39 cases,curettage treatment)and observation group(39 cases,bilateral uterine artery embolization combined with curettage treatment).The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.Results The operation time and time for bloodβ-HCG returning to normal,and time for menstruation returning to normal in the observation group were shorter than those in the routine group,the amount of intraoperative bleeding and bleeding during 24 h after operation were less than those in the routine group,and the incidence of postoperative massive bleeding was lower than that in the routine group(P<0.05).At 40 d after operation,the levels of FSH,LH,E2 and bloodβ-HCG in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the routine group(P<0.05).At 30 d after operation,PSV and PI in the observation group were higher than those in the routine group,while RI was lower than that in the routine group(P<0.05).Conclusion Bilateral uterine artery embolization combined with curettage is effective in the treatment of scar pregnancy after cesarean section.
