Clinical application of gene methylation detection in cervical cancer screening

Cervical cancer is one of the common malignant tumors,which seriously threatens women's health.Persistent high-risk HPV infection is the main cause of cervical cancer.The methylation status of cervical cancer genes is closely related to the degree of cervical lesions,which provides a new method for cervical cancer screening,diagnosis,follow-up and prediction.Early detection,diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer are the keys to reduce mortality and improve survival.The use of cervical cancer gene methylation testing has important clinical signifificance in reducing the referral rate of colposcopy and patients'over-diagnosis and treatment,saving medical resources;reducing women's panic.This article summarizes the research on cervical cancer gene methylation in domestic and foreign articles,for further understanding the process of cervical cancer occurrence and development,and guiding the clinical application of gene methylation detection in cervical cancer screening.
