Effect of TCM Syndrome Differentiation on Anxiety Symptoms of Convalescent Patients With Schizophrenia

Objective To explore the application effect of TCM syndrome differentiation in the treatment of convalescent patients with schizophrenia.Methods From March 2019 to March 2021,82 schizophrenic convalescence patients in our hospital were divided into two groups.The control group received conventional western medicine treatment,and the observation group received TCM syndrome differentiation treatment on the basis of the control group.Efficacy,positive and negative symptom scale(PANSS)scores,social functioning scores,quality of life scores,cognitive functioning scores,anxiety and depression scores and the occurrence of adverse reactions were evaluated and compared between the two groups.Results The effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the negative symptom scale score,general symptom scale score and total score in the positive and negative symptom scale(PANSS)of the observation group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,social function score,quality of life score,anxiety score,depression score and cognitive function score of the observation group were better than the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion TCM syndrome differentiation has a good effect in the treatment of patients with schizophrenia in convalescence,and it is worth popularizing.
