Exploration on the teaching reform in the course of neurobiology by the standards of gold courses

“Creating ‘gold courses’ and eliminating ‘bird courses’ ” is a clear requirement put forward by the Ministry of Education and the goal of course construction in colleges and universities. Neurobiology is a professional basic course for clinical medical undergraduates in Soochow University. Under the guidance of building “gold courses”, the authors identified existing problems in the teaching of neurobiology, and then design reforms accordingly, in order to meet the new requirements of building “gold courses” and improve the training quality of medical talents. Based on the standards of “gold course” construction, this paper focuses on the exploration on the teaching reform in the aspects of teaching materials, teaching contents, teaching methods, and teachers.
