Effect and safety of compound ipratropium bromide and budesonide suspension in the treatment of wheezing pneumonia in children

Objective To explore the effect and safety of compound ipratropium bromide and budesonide suspension in the treatment of wheezing pneumonia in children.Methods A total of 78 children with wheezing pneumonia admitted in our hospital from October 2018 to October 2020 were selected as the research objects and divided into observation group and control group according to random number table method,with 39 cases in each group.The observation group was treated with compound ipratropium bromide and budesonide suspension,and the control group was treated with budesonide suspension.The disappearance time of clinical symptom,lung function index,inflammatory factor level and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The disappearance time of cough,shortness of breath,dyspnea and wheezing in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in FVC,FEV₁ and PEF between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment,FVC,FEV₁ and PEF in both groups increased,and those in the observation group were greater than the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in serum CRP level and LC between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment,the serum CRP level and LC decreased in both groups,and those in the observation group were lower than the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Compound ipratropium bromide and budesonide suspension has a significant effect on wheezing pneumonia,it can improve the lung function and inflammatory factors of children,with safety and reliability,which is worthy of promotion.
