Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical application of color coded dual-energy bone marrow analysis VNCa image in the diagnosis of bone marrow edema using Siemens third generation dual-source CT(SOMATOM Force).Methods A total of 34 patients were selected from Binzhou People's Hospital from November 2019 to September 2021 for bone and joint examination of lower limbs due to emergency trauma.All patients underwent dual-energy CT and MR scan,and the interval between the two examinations was no more than 7 days.The presence of bone marrow edema in dual-energy CT and magnetic resonance images was diagnosed by two attending and above physicians in a double-blind method(0=absence of bone marrow edema,1=presence of bone marrow edema).By another radiology attending physicians blinded and above high qualification diagnosis randomly selected CT and MRI scanning images,respectively in the coronal,sagittal and transverse position measuring bone marrow edema range of three biggest continuous level,and then respectively on the bone marrow edema area average and divided into dual-source CT images and MR images in the two groups,statistical analysis comparison of differences between the two groups.Results There were 24 cases of bone marrow edema(74 areas)in 34 patients(532 areas),22 cases of bone marrow edema(sensitivity 87.50%,specificity 90.00%)and 70 areas of bone marrow edema(sensitivity 85.14%,specificity 98.47%)diagnosed by dual-energy bone marrow imaging.Conclusion Dual-energy bone marrow imaging can effectively diagnose and evaluate the extent and area of bone marrow edema.
