| Abstract: | AIM: To compare the isolation rates of the Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) from gastric biopsy specimens achieved using Karmali and Columbia agar media. METHODS: Gastric biopsy specimens were collected from 168 H.pylori-positive patients and cultivated on Karmali and Columbia agar plates under microaerophilic conditions (5% O2, 10% CO2, and 85% N2).
