Observation on the Effect of Hysterosalpingography on Laparoscopy for the Treatment of Tubal Infertility

Objective] To explore the effect of hysterosatpingography（HSG） on laparoscopy for the treatment of tubal infertility. Methods] Totally 131 infertile patients of tubal infertility without the history of ectopic pregnancy undergoing laparoscopy in our hospital were divided into 4 groups. HSG was performed for 81 patients a year before operation including 65 cases of unilateral hydrosalpinx（Group A1 ） and 16 cases of bilateral hydrosalpinx（group A2） confirmed by operation. HSG was not performed for 50 patients before operation including 40 cases of unilateral hydrosalpinx（group B1 ） and 10 cases of bilateral hydrosalpinx（group B2 ） confirmed by laparosco- py. All patients in each group had no severe pelvic adhesions and endometriosis. The pregnancy rate a year after laparoseopy was compared among groups. Results] The pregnancy rate a year after laparoscopy in group A1 and A2 was 30.9%, and that in group El and t32 was 42%, and there was statistical difference between them（ P 〈0. 05）. The pregnancy rate a year after laparoscopy in group B1 was 45% which was significantly higher than that in group B2（30%）, and there was statistical difference between two groups（ P 〈0.05）. The pregnancy rate a year after laparoscopy in group A1 was 30.77% which was significantly lower than that in group B1 （45%）, and there was statistical difference between two groups（ P 〈0.05）. Conclusion] The pregnancy rate a year after laparoseopy in infertility patients who receive HSG before laparoscopy is significantly lower than that in infertility patients who do not receive HSG before laparoscopy.
