Clinical Efficacy of One-time Root Canal Filling for the Treatment of Cracked Tooth with Pulpitis

Objective]To explore the clinical effect of one-time root canal filling for the treatment of cracked teeth with pulpitis. Methods]The clinical effect between one-time root canal filling（the treatment group, 47 teeth） and tradition root canal filling（the control group, 50 teeth） for the treatment of cracked tooth was analyzed and compared retrospectively. Results]Durlng the treatment of root canal filling, the pain reaction rate of the treatment group and the control group were 17% and 16%, respectively, but there was no significant difference between two groups（ P 〉0.01）. The success rate of the treatment group was 97.9% which was significantly higher than that of the control group（84%）（ P 〈0.01）. Conclusion] One-time root canal filling for the treatment of cracked tooth with pulpitis can effectively reduce the risk of the development of hidden crack, and improve the long-term success rate of complete coronal restoration of the diseased teeth after root canal therapy.
