| Abstract: | Objective To evaluate the tumorigenicity of human embryonic tendon cell transformed by ptsA 58H plasmid. Methods Transformed human embryonic tendon cells (THETC) labelled by Brdu of 5 × 106/0. 4 ml and 1 × 107/0. 4 ml were injected subcutaneously to the right fore-limb subaxillary region of the nude mice,and 5 × 106/0. 4 ml tongue cancer cell (Tca 8113) as control group. The nude mice were sampled periodically to eximinate the histological changes. Results There were no tumor formation after 5 months of injection,and no tumor biological characteristics by histological examination. It could be proved that THETC were survival by Brdu label technique and THETC could secreted type Ⅰ collagen normally. However, There were tumor formation in control group. Conclusion THETC have no tumorigenicity and have similar morphological characteristics and function to normal human embryonic tendon cells. |
