Value of HCV-core antigen and HCV RNA detection in the diagnosis of chronic hepatitis C

Objective To investigate the value of hepatitis C virus(HCV)-core antigen and HCV RNA detection in the diagnosis of chronic hepatitis C.Methods A total of 140 suspected patients with suspected chronic hepatitis C who were diagnosed with anti-HCV antibody in our hospital from January 2018 to June 2019 were enrolled in this study.The subjects were enrolled in a 3 m L fasting vein using HCV RNA.Immunofluorescence assay(ELISA)was used to determine HCV-core antigen,and the results were statistically analyzed.The comprehensive analysis of clinical symptoms,signs,laboratory,histopathological examination and imaging findings was used as the gold standard to analyze the diagnostic value of both.Results A comprehensive analysis of clinical examination results showed that 140 patients with positive hepatitis C were positive in 131 cases and negative in 9 cases.The sensitivity,accuracy,specificity,negative predictive value and positive predictive value of HCV RNA in the diagnosis of chronic hepatitis C were slightly Higher than HCV-core antigen,the difference was not statistically significant.Conclusion HCV RNA is a reliable indicator for the diagnosis of HCV infection.Compared with HCV RNA,HCV-core antigen detection sensitivity,specificity and accuracy are similar,which can provide experimental basis for clinical diagnosis of chronic hepatitis C and has simple operation and low price.It does not require expensive instruments and is worthy of clinical trust and promotion.
