Protective effect of Wenyang Sanxian decoction on mice with pulmonary interstitial fibrosis induced by bleomycin

Objective To explore protective effect of Wenyang Sanxian decoction on mice with pulmonary interstitial fibrosis induced by bleomycin.Methods Pulmonary interstitial fibrosis model in C57 BL/6 mice was established,and the successful mice were randomly divided into model group,Wenyang Sanxian decoction low,medium and high dose group,positive group,in addition,sham operation and normal control group were established,with 15 mice in each group.The histological changes of lung were observed by HE staining.Results The lung tissue structure in normal group and sham operation group was normal.The pulmonary septum was widened,alveolar structure was destroyed,alveolar inflammation was obvious,and large number of inflammatory cells was infiltrated in model group.The thickness of pulmonary septum was improved,the inflammatory reaction was weakened and the alveolar structure was more complete in Wenyang Sanxian decoction low,medium and high dose group.The thickness of pulmonary septum was normal,the integrity of alveolar structure was good,and the degree of inflammatory cell infiltration was low in positive group.Conclusion Wenyang Sanxian decoction could improve pulmonary interstitial fibrosis induced by bleomycin in C57BL/6 mice.
