| Abstract: | The synthesis of some 2-aminobenzimidazole and indole amide derivatives containing a 2,6-dichloroaniline moiety is described. The preparation of a theophylline derivative is also reported. All the compounds tested showed no appreciable antihypertensive activity on spontaneously hypertensive rats. |
