Abstract: | A method for stimulating sensitized lymphocytes by inactivated herpes simplex virus was established by using cultures of washed whole blood cells. The development of the immune response of herpes simplex virus-infected guinea pigs was examined at different times in the 4-month period after infection. Humoral and cellular immune responses were compared in individual animals by measuring lymphocyte stimulation ratios and neutralizing serum antibodies. |
