Abstract: | Sexually transmitted diseases may have a significant impact on the pregnant woman and her fetus and neonate. Infection at various stages of pregnancy may result in severe maternal disease, congenital defects, premature delivery, or neonatal infection. The clinician caring for pregnant women must be aware of the multitude of sexually transmitted diseases and their potential risks during pregnancy. |
