| Abstract: | The authors made a statistical survey of the type, general incidence, age distribution and predilection sites of 2 465 tumours in the central nervous system from 6 hospitals in Xi 'an. The inddcncc of ncuroepithcliagerac tumor was the highest among the intracanial neoplasms, accounting for 45.52%. The inddcncc of meningiornas was the highest within the spinal cord tumours (50.62%). The clinical onset of nearly 61% of tumours was in the age of 21- 50 , the peak incidence happened around 31-40 years old (21.42%). The male/female ratio was 1.36/1. The predlection sites were different with various types of tumours. The ncurocpithelial tumous located in different lobes of the brain accounted for 72%. |
